Chapter Twenty-Three "Common Ground"

Hayden watched in horror as giant lighting bolts obliterated all of the police force. He did not think this would come so quickly, the White Coats had underestimated the hastiness of The Cloud.
Hayden

The lightning stopped.
Hayden
Over already?
And then he saw someone drop from the sky gracefully onto a high building. There Zanos stood, the God of thunder. His yellow hair was a bit like Hayden’s. He looked like a young adult in his early twenties.
Zanos
Will it always be this easy?
Hayden did not know who he spoke of until a figure with short black hair dressed in all white appeared beside him. Wynson the God of Wind had arrived. He had the same features as Zanos.
Wynson
It’s rather boring if you ask me
Zanos
Yes, I suppose it is.
They looked down the building
Zanos

Wynson
If not now, then I don’t want to do it
Zanos

Hayden appeared behind them
Hayden
I do not wish to fight but I must ask you to abandon your campaign
They both turned towards Hayden

Apparently this won’t be easy then. You Elf are Gods of the world just as we are. You, the sky walkers, and the Magni eyes are the only ones who can fully step up to us. This is most unexpected.

You know very well that you cannot slay me. Our kind is a peaceful being, but we are warriors if needed.

This is pointless elf. We will destroy this whether you interfere or not

They laughed, although not human, and although they were to annihilate every human that called the land earth home, They were not so different. As they laughed together, millions of humans laughed at the same time, they did not catch this common ground. And so they began the destruction of this human city.
