Rysel was lying against the wall in a cold dark cave asleep. She saw so many things happen, more then any human could fathom. A boy, a young boy with wings was flying down in the air with three other winged people. She did not know the boy; he was so young, as young as her. Through her dreams was her only way to see his face, for when she opened her eyes, she could not see clearly. She was lying against the wall, finally able to get some sleep. Then she saw it, the boy came to her, she woke up.
Rysel
It’s cold
The cave was dark; she was lying towards the opening of it
Rysel
Brother, why did you not wake me?
Her brother Krysin was in the dark and could not be seen. Only his deep voice came from the darkness.
Krysin
I would not wake you from your slumber
Rysel
It’s very cold
A gust of warm air flew past her moving her pitch black hair in the night
Rysel
It hasn’t rained for day’s brother.
Krysin
I don’t think it ever will again
Rysel
Pity, and they think they know what their doing.
She looked to the darkness
Rysel
Father will come for us soon Krysin, he will need us
Another gust of warm air flew past her
Krysin
I know this.
Rysel
Why must we fight brother?
Krysin
Because we are comfortable with what is ours. The land is ours and the darkness is our home. If they wish to cleanse the world, it would mean you to
Rysel
But I mean them no harm
Krysin
Many do not. But they do not listen to pleas of innocence
Rysel
Indeed. The air is cold. They begin to kill tonight. The only element not on a rampage is the Goddess of nature, Oleander.
Krysin
She is a peaceful monster. She does not wish to slaughter humans
Rysel
Will she join us?
Krysin
You know your answer Rysel; you saw it in your sleep
Rysel
I don’t know if I can trust even myself anymore brother
She looked out of the caves opening, her eyes were white, pure white. She apparently had very little sun in her time of living.
Rysel
The world is coming to its close, and I do not see things as clearly as I did years ago. I could not tell you anything anymore without being doubtful of what I saw. In the end, my dreams are dreams.
Krysin
You think to little of your capabilities sister, in time you will see what you are worth. You are a weapon even the elves fear.
Rysel
I do not wish to be a weapon. Father is coming for us. Our time emerge from this darkness comes quickly, are you afraid?
Krysin
No. I am enjoying my thoughts.
Rysel
What are you thinking?
Krysin
It has been to long since the world has seen my kind. To long since they feared us. All the creatures of earth have become close to extinct. We however know better. The time has come to show the world their legends are true. It is time to show them the stuff of legends.
Rysel stood up
Rysel
Then we shall prepare for fathers arrival.
Rysel heard these words, but in her heart, they were wrong.
Rysel
It’s so cold
The trees in the forest were still. Oleander sat on a giant tree trunk. As she sat, her white long hair flowed in the wind while she thought about what was going on at the moment. Oleander was the only Elemental God who was not ever trapped. She was waiting for The Cloud to appear.
Oleander
Roslyn, come.
Roslyn appeared from behind the trees. She carried a big bow and arrows with her. She had long red hair and wore brown clothes.
Roslyn
My lady
Oleander just looked towards her
Oleander
They are finally coming. They would hope I would fight along side them.
Roslyn walked closer to Oleander
Oleander
They are wrong. I have no quarrel with the humans. I wish to live in peace, and killing is not peace.
Roslyn
They will wish to kill you my lady
Oleander
They can try. The forest will fight with me, and as will you.
Roslyn
To the death my lady, I will follow you.
Oleander
I know. That is why I chose you Roslyn
Roslyn bowed her head
Roslyn
I mean no offense my lady, but we eventually will have to choose a side.
Oleander
Yes, I’m afraid so.
Roslyn
Have you taken this into consideration?
Oleander
Yes, I have chosen the White Coats
Astrid
Very unwise
Astrid appeared behind the trees direct in front of Oleander and Roslyn. Roslyn drew and arrow and pointed it at Astrid.
Roslyn
You have no right to speak to my lady
Astrid
Oh dear I am truly sorry
Oleander
At ease Roslyn
Roslyn lowered her arrow. Behind Astrid appeared Kon.
Roslyn
You bring filth into these lands
Kon grunted
Kon
Vile women
Astrid
Enough fools. Oleander, please reconsider. Your brothers and sisters are about to begin
Oleander
I will not join the holocaust of mankind
Astrid walked forward, her white wings gleaming in the moonlight.
Astrid
You really have no choice.
Oleander
There is always a choice young one.
Astrid
Mother will not be happy about this
Oleander
Mother knows nothing.
Astrid
She is dying
Oleander
She is lying.
Kon stepped forward
Kon
You know what is going on creature. You can feel your own forest decaying in this air.
Oleander
Please beast, do not tell me what I can feel.
Astrid
Join us
Oleander
I will never walk hand in hand with my enemy; they would slit my throat while I slept. I will kill you all.
Astrid
I don’t think you can. Please, at the very least, stand down.
Oleander
If I was to stand down, my home would be in flames
Kon
The pleasure would be mine
Roslyn raised her bow again
Roslyn
You will take no pleasure beast; I would see you dead before you would.
Astrid
You have a human as a pet oleander? I did not think even you would do such a thing.
Oleander
She has taught me what humans are capable of
Astrid
They are only capable of chaos and destruction.
Roslyn
Well then we have something in common then sky walker
Astrid
I would not think so.
Oleander drew her thin silver sword
Oleander
I’ve had enough of small chat, you will leave or die
Astrid
Today, we leave. Heed my words Oleander, we will return and burn your land.
Oleander
You can try, but you shall never destroy this forest of earth.
Astrid was gone, as well as Kon.
Roslyn
My lady, what will we do?
Oleander
We shall rally the White Coats. This forest will be our last stand against them in the end.
Roslyn
I will go to them.
Oleander
Fly like a leave in the wind youngling
Roslyn was already gone.
